Galveston Restaurant Group has been bringing new and exciting dining concepts to Galveston for decades. Galveston is famous for its food, and being the best around is something that we take very seriously. The Gumbo Diner is a fun, new, and exciting concept that lives up to that challenge. It is the first restaurant from GRG to feature breakfast, and we are proud that people have fallen in love with it. This new twist on our expertise in perfecting the kettle cooking concept features homemade American classics like beignets, chicken & waffles, gumbo, fresh seafood, and the breakfast dishes that will keep you satisfied all day! The quality and freshness of our food is our first priority, so we use homemade ingredients and locally sourced foods using our own recipes. It’s more than just the food however, it’s an unforgettable experience. We believe that is what sets up apart!

About Galveston Restaurant Group (GRG)

Galveston Restaurant Group has brought the “art of great eating” to patrons since 1997. Created by Johnny Smecca, Joey Smecca, and Danny Hart, they opened their first restaurant, Saltwater Grill, in 1998, located in the heart of the Galveston Arts & Entertainment District. Since then, they have been creating, prospering and selling restaurant concepts that deliver the best dining experiences on the Texas Gulf Coast.
